Two owners. Two very different personalities. One shared idea.
Live Wire Entertainment was created by Dan, aka DJ Disco Dan, and Will, aka Mr Phoenix — two people who decided to join forces and build something of their own on TikTok.
In the early days over on TikTok, Dan and Will saw an opportunity to create something different: a place where music lovers could come together, have a laugh and simply enjoy being part of something positive.
The idea was to create a safe, welcoming space on the app where people could escape the everyday for a while, enjoy great music and feel included — whether they had a big family around them, a small family, or simply wanted somewhere to belong.
So Dan and Will decided to join forces, put their heads together and work out how they could create a united entertainment experience running across the week — something the whole family could enjoy.
Part of what makes Live Wire what it is comes from the fact that Dan and Will are very different characters.
Dan, aka DJ Disco Dan, brings more of a radio-style, chatty broadcaster approach. His passion for radio comes through in the way he presents his shows, alongside his love of music and the knowledge built from years of listening to the songs and artists he grew up with.
Will, aka Mr Phoenix, has a very different musical personality. He's more of a rock and Nickelback kind of guy, with a love for the music he grew up listening to in the 2000s. He brings his own laid-back charm, quirky one-liners, unexpected quizzes and unique features — usually in true Will style.
Different personalities. Different musical tastes. One Live Wire.
Dan and Will have built Live Wire Entertainment by bringing those differences together rather than trying to make them the same. That contrast is part of the fun — from Dan's love of radio and music to Will's love of football, rock and his own unique way of doing things.
And then there's the banter. The back-and-forth between the two owners has become part of the personality of Live Wire itself — two very different characters joining forces, taking the mick out of each other and having plenty of laughs along the way.
What began as an idea between two friends on TikTok has grown into Live Wire Entertainment — built around music, personality, fun and bringing people together.
Neither Dan nor Will set out to simply copy what was already there. They wanted to create their own take on live entertainment, combining two very different styles and turning that into something people could return to, enjoy and become part of.
